Morrison Design, LLC is an architectural design and historic preservation consulting firm.  The company has earned a reputation for quality work and has received numerous awards and honors recognizing its skill in design, research, planning and preservation.  The diverse portfolio of work includes historic rehabilitation, compatible new construction in historic neighborhoods, building assessments and reports and neighborhood design guidelines.

The owner and president, Brandy Herlinger Morrison, has earned a Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Heritage Preservation and Certificate of Urban Planning. Fourteen years spent applying these skills in a work setting have further enhanced this education.  The knowledge gained through education and practice has enabled her to view a building in its entirety, from the smallest construction detail to the broader neighborhood.  Historic preservation is a true lifelong passion for Brandy and each project is afforded attentive, careful thought.  This passion for preservation extends to building adaptation and reuse, resulting in a philosophy of "recycling buildings" by recognizing their distinctive qualities and enhancing them.

In addition to her successful professional career, she is actively involved in community planning efforts.  Volunteer positions have included chairing the Atlanta Preservation Advocacy Committee and sitting on the Atlanta Beltline Speakers' Bureau.  Her passion and conscientious work ethic earned her recognition in 2006, when she was awarded the honor of Outstanding Preservation Professional for the City of Atlanta.

Morrison Design's goal is to provide clients with a high quality, high integrity and affordable project.  The company strives to give every project the attention needed to achieve a thoughtful solution.  Listening to the clients' needs and wishes, studying the problem and understanding the project environment are key to achieving these goals.
